One of the main problems is traditional Men listening way too much to what modern women think masculinity is. A fools errand.

I don’t like how people try to put masculinity and femininity into a box.

There are different types of people in this world, and we shouldn’t try to put them in some category.

For example, a man can have a high pitched voice and still be masculine. A woman can have a deep husky voice, but still be feminine and sexy.

I’ve known women who are tomboys that shoot guns, get dirty and do “masculine” things.

But they’re still heterosexuals that dress feminine and wear makeup when they want to.

Just like a woman can be feminine in appearance, but have “masculine” behavior.

Some people think that a woman who’s very forward is being masculine, but I disagree. I like women that are a bit aggressive and don’t play games.

So, I don’t think it’s fair to say a woman is masculine because she has a lower pitched voiced. She has no control over that. Her genetics determined that.

It’s not fair to emasculate a man because of his height. He had no control over that. His genetics determined that.

Is a man supposed to be good at fixing things? Possibly. But we don’t all have the same strengths and weaknesses.

I’m not a mechanic; I don’t know much about cars, but I’m getting better at it.

Masculinity isn’t black and white.

I will say this, though. A grown man shouldn’t be sagging his pants.

At the very least, a MAN should put his best foot forward.

There are certainly too many directions for masculinity. Most in my peer group (millennials) are far too “fluid” when it comes to masculinity and they too often defer to female paradigms. I was fortunate enough to grow up out in the country, staying connected with our family’s indigenous roots/communities, having a father that was born in the 1940’s and living in a household consisting of just us boys. Ever since relocating to a big city, it’s become very apparent how my peers that grew up inner city have various masculine deficits in comparison of those that grew up rural.
