Thank you for going to the effort and producing actual side-by-side comparisons. I think youre the only one doing it so far.

FSR 3.1 fixed 2.2's biggest issues: disocclusion artifacts, shimmering, and general image stability (though there is more ghosting now). Still, DLSS is better, just not as much anymore. Wonder if machine learning is the only way to match DLSS at this point.

I am really impressed with fsr3+ and they can still improve on it. My gtx 970 loves fsr3 and frame generation. You can say dlss is better but only if you have a 40 series 😉

DLSS is still superior, as it should be, but FSR 3.1 is so close now that it honestly prolly wouldn't matter when you're actually playing and not pixel-peeping. But I really hope AMD comes up with their own AI based upscaling because hand-made algorithms can only go so far.

3.1's upscaler doesn't look all that different from 2.1 honestly. Still has the same disoclussion isues where rapid movement destroys detail of an object and the area around the object.

I was more impressed with how comparable it is with native taa. Amd users dont care about the dlss comparisons because its pretty pointless, because both are using totally different methods. For the method fsr is using, it is doing a good enough job.
AMD users wanted a upscaler that was comparable/ better than native taa/ xess, and from what we have seen, that is the case.

In some cases i couldn't even see any great differences with dlss to where i would care. Fsr3 FG is vastly greater on AMD GPUs, so ill take the few image flaws for the greater fps increase that fsr3 fg on AMD hardware provides.

Great video. Seems like DLSS (especially FG) is still vastly superior.

3.1 in Ghost of Tsushima is a blurry mess btw.
