Welcome to Part 4 of 6 On how to build a wooden speargun from home. This video shows how to attach the handle to the speargun.

This Homemade speargun has been made from very limited tools and a very basic knowledge on how to build one. Ive been spearfishing here in the UK for many years now and have always wanted my own homemade wooden speargun… Well… that time has come.

The Trigger mechanisms, Trigger guards, line loops and all other parts required for this build will soon be available to buy. The idea being anyone will then be able to design and build their own gun personalised speargun. If people are interested in this idea please let me know in the comments section below.

Part 5 of this (how to make a wooden speargun) will be coming out next week. Don't miss it, turn on the notification bell to know when it's out!!

Just a quick heads up: the glue you used is cianoacrylate + activator. This is not a propper two part adhesive (epoxy). Also, cyanoacrilate junctions are brittle and not suitable for humid environments. You are even better off using C4 rated PU wood glue (expands and fills in the gaps).

Other than that, great work! Have a look at Spearboard forum for more ideas.

I was curious, other guns have several different types of wood in order to prevent warping, will this after it's finished warp?

It's not a 2 part adhesive, you used glue and an accelerant
