I don’t think flowey here is necessarily afraid of dying per day. In the neutral route if you choose to kill him he’s rather smug about it. I think in the neutral route he knows you’ll come back to play, but here he knows you won’t be back after exhausting this world of everything it has to offer.

I won’t lie, I did Genocide after neutral, Not knowing Flowey was Asriel, and I laughed like Chara when he died. Did Pacifist after, and BOY that was not the ending I expected… Still, Chara’s laugh was just mine but slower.
