Analyzing population genetic data using unsupervised clustering methods by Jonah Einson

Human genetic data from diverse populations has dramatically grown over the past two decades. In this tutorial, I will introduce the format used to represent genetic variants, then demonstrate how principal component analysis can be used to find clear patterns in this data. This presentation will include some discussion on how geneticists think about genetic ancestry, and how real world data can disprove common misconceptions about genetics and traits.
