The duck sits there, reminiscing...
About the time it was the mascot of cs50...
Before the cat came along, sly and cunning...
It wanted to be known all through the city...
The duck sat there, staring into the fire...
Remembering when the cat made it look like a liar...
Remembering the fued that occurred centuries ago...
Even thinking about it made the duck shudder...
The duck sat there, listening to the echo...
Of the students laughing down the corridor...
A silent tear slipped from its eye
Remembering the days the students used to talk to it...
Used to be their beloved friend...
Before the cat came along...
A fierceful rage erupted through the ducks blood...
This was wrong...
"I have been wronged"...
The duck stared into the fire and started to scheme...
It was done with being thrown out of fame...
"I shall rise" it thought...
"I dont belong here" it thought angrily
"I belong up there in stage"
"Not the cat"
"I shall be known again"
"I shall rise to fame"
So it sat there, staying up late into the night...
Scheming and plotting to make things right...
Slowly one after another...
The duck executed its plan...
Avenging the cat...
Rising back to fame...
And now, alongside David Malan, its there proudly on the stage...
Giving students hope and courage...
To get through every pset...
Cause the duck's there to guide them when they get lost...<3
