This is my first time hearing Ragragsakan music with lyrics. It's haunting and beautiful.

This traditional / folk dance reflects how rich our heritage is, something we can call our own, raw and indigenous, not influenced by Spanish colonialism. I am Ilocano by roots. Both my parents are from Ilocos Norte. However this particular performance depicts the tradition of Ilocanos of Mountain province. The color, the shapes, the curves, the lights and shades of the performance matched with the hypnotic chants transcend us to the time immemorial when humans were so in touch with the nature so close that their spirits unite to live harmoniously among with other creatures that help sustain the balance in the circle of life.
