Ragragsakan portrays the Kalinga tribal women as they balance baskets atop their head and walk carefully along the mountainous rice terraces to not wander off the path through the morning fog and carry the things the people need during merrymaking, which usually takes place during triumphant returns of headhunters or successful peace pacts between rival tribes. The word “ragragsakan” is an Ilocano word which means merriment. Their bright and colorful, handwoven fabrics help to keep them warm.
