Should you grow more summer vegetables or put in a fall garden? What can you grow in fall in your climate? Brian from Next Level Gardening and Next Level Homestead will show you what you can grow in your organic garden in fall. If you live in a mild winter climate, you can still plant summer vegetables in August. If you live in cooler climates, you will learn how to figure out which vegetables you can fit in before winter comes.

Thanks for explaining this fall garden info! I want to plant carrots, lettuces, sweet potatoes are already in, those sun gold tomatoes, broccoli and green onions. I love your new homestead, and have been building my entire yard just like you are! It’s come a lot no way, but now I’m focusing on raised bed vegetable gardens.

I'm in naples Italy and our first frost day is very rare, I've been gardening here for about 15 years and I've seen frost only once

Greetings, Brian. In southeast Virginia USA first frost date (for light freeze) according to Farmer's Almanac, is November 27 this year. I've planted some of the quick growing plants already and am eagerly waiting for cool enough weather for the fall crops.

In Lāna’i City, HI we have no frost. It does get cooler in the winter than in other places in Hawaii…down to the low to mid 50 * F. That is when I grow cool season vegetables.

You are in my prayers as you transition to a whole new gardening world. It takes years to grow the "perfect" garden. God bless you.
