Welcome to Elder Scrolls VI & Beyond - the series in which I discuss potential plot points for future Elder Scrolls games. To honor the release of Skyrim remastered, the first few episodes in this series are going to focus on lore in Skyrim that could be expanded upon in a future Elder Scrolls games. I will be calling the first portion of this series the "Skyrim Special Edition Saga."

In this video, I discuss the potential return of the dragons and the roles of Akatosh, Alduin, Auri-el, Alkosh and Tosh Raka going forward.

When Alduin says he's the "first born of Akatosh", he's simply trying to describe things in a way we can understand. They are temporal deities, and exist beyond our perceptions of time. Because of this, it's equally true to say that Akatosh is the first born of Alduin. The idea of birth, that one begets the other, is simply a metaphor for understanding the dualism that is the polar Magnet that is the Akatosh/Alduin dichotomy.

If Alduin himself bridges the end of a kalpa and the beginning of the next, perhaps he is the Akatosh of the next kalpa.
Eating the world, the souls of the dead, etc. will bring all the fragments of his soul back into himself making him whole again. His first act in the new kalpa is to split out a fragment of his soul into the new Alduin, thus providing for the end of the cycle and thus the structure of time.
Alduin is the black hole into which all is absorbed, Akatosh is the white hole from which all emerges.

Since I read "Mysterious Akavir" the first time I'm hoping for the invasion of Akavir in Tamriel.

maybe what alduin ment by that is that he is the first form or representation of akatosh

I think tosh raka may be representation of time going back, since his name is akatosh backwards and he wants to move from akavir (future culpa) to tamriel (present culpa) meaning going back in time in a way

Did anyone know if you leave high value items in an NPC’s house. Eventually the items change from stolen to free to take. It works at the Riften Bunkhouse. Dibella. Lovely DiBella. So sweet. Indeed. Golden, even. Sithis must love beautiful things. Dread Father.

I can't believe you didn't mention the Oblivion ending, the last game ended with (exact details can be argued) an incarnation of Akatosh/Aruiel.

Alduin (as I know the ES lore) was the "first born", wich means that he was the first "soul-splinter" who left the "Mainsoul" of Akatosh to form a Body into the material world. Paarturnax was the second and other "splinters" following and building the Dragon race.
But if a main part (Alduin) divided from control, it was not possible to end the Kalpa, therefore Akatosch sended another Splinter of himself to "collect" the missing soul (Alduin) so that he can fulfill his destiny as a worldeater when the time comes.
So actually the dragonborn will never enter Sovengarde (you do not see any Dragonborn in Sovengarde do you?) bet will also return to Akatosch wen he/she dies. Actually the hero of the story is therfore an avatar of Akatosh, like Auri-el (who had a Aldmer form) and Talos.
