Thousands of anti-government protesters are taking to the streets across Cuba.
The demonstrations demanding greater action from the government came as Cuba is experiencing its toughest phase yet of the coronavirus crisis, and the same day it reported a new daily record of infections and deaths.
Social anger has been driven by long food lines and a critical shortage of medicines since the start of the COVID-19 epidemic, exacerbated by United States sanctions.
President Miguel Diaz-Canel accused the US of being responsible for the unrest.

Al Jazeera’s Teresa Bo reports.

So its unclear here what amount of people were protesting the government or pro-government from this short segment. That's a pretty important distinction.

Funny how those in power for decades are calling themselves revolutionary. What's next? Old people calling themselves the progressive hip youth? 😂

Cuba deserves its freedom. The Cuban people have suffered enough from undeserved Embargo and Sanctions. Shame on the Western Powers.

Sorry folks, but capitalism is the best economic system. However you can also have a mixed economy where its capitalism + socialism - where the government spends a lot of money not on wars & prisons like Amerikkka, but on free schooling/college, free health care and decent subsidized housing for the working class, like they do in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and other generous modern nations.

If Cuba had democracy and freedom just imagine what the island could become. The tourism industry alone will be worth billions.

The world needs Jesus Christ! And we can see how the destruction of the world will not stop, no matter who people vote for, it will NEVER bring peace or stop suffering. The world NEEDS Jesus Christ, and one day He will return to restore peace and joy!! Amen.

There is clear differences between these ideologies:

- Communism (Far-Left) which is absolute state control and everybody equal.

- Socialism (Left Wing) which means mostly state controlled. But in Latin America/Caribbean this can also mean Indigenismo or power to the indigenous peoples and environment.

- Social Democracy (Centre-Left) which means mixed economy (Socialism and Capitalism 50/50). Common in Iceland, Faroe Islands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Australia and New Zealand.

- Liberalism (Center) Which means mostly Capitalism. Common in Canada and United States.

- Conservatism (Center Right) which means Capitalism mixed with upholding traditions. Common in most of Europe.

- Nationalism and Ultranationalism is Right Wing and Far Right.
