Thailand is one of the main countries for incredible street food. As a resident here it's definitely affordable and tastes pretty good.

My day in Thailand would go like:

Brekkie: jok (rice porridge with pork mince) pla-thong-go (wee little fried dough bities) and a cuppa coffee.

Midday: somtam, gai yang(bbq chicken) khao niao (sticky rice) bottle of water.

Evening: a couple of bottles of beer Singha and some crunchy snack.

I'm from Thailand.I'm sorry to say but Kao Tom is not from Thailand. Kao Tom is a Thai word for Rice Porridge/Congee (probably chinese, not sure) p.s.sorry for my bad english

(Although i must say these restaurants very Charged you Expensive prices for common foods. Kao tom usually goes for barely 70 - 80 THB and Tom yam 90 - 100 THB)
