Finally seeing pandan get some love! It was a life-changing flavor the first time I tried it and I was so sad to never find any in the US. But then my wife found pandan flavoring and made me a cake with it!

I miss khanom bueang 😭
I bought some from the same street vendor near my hotel for 3 days in a row, 2 times a day. On the 4th day, I said that I had to go back to my country that night, and he gave me like 20 plus khanom bueang just for 10 baht! He really nice and always smiling to me.

The green sauce that you mention, Thai people call it "Nam Jim Seafood, " which basically means sauce for seafood. It's so yummy👍👍

Yumm!!! They are very creative, they utilize takoyaki pan to create the mini seafood pancake that is technically (form wise) easier to make :)

Theres 2 sauces that i think could be the green sauce! "น้ำจิ้มซีฟู๊ด" namjim seafood and "น้ำจิ้มสามรส" namjim samrode! Both of them are spicy, sour and savory! Its a really good sauce to cut through fat and grease.

When did they up their game, haven't been for the last 4 years, but was a regular visitor for 3 months at a time till then, I never saw anything like that.
The food from the night market was great and after a day's training it was easy to forget my diet, but none of that was there, am going to have to go back over to Thailand just for the food. Booking a ticket for June.

I’m unsure but the green thing in your bread wasn’t vanilla with coconut undertones, I think it’s ‘sangkaya’. Sangkaya is like custard but pandan leaf flavor(?). (I’m Thai)
