How do we know if you have BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo)? Hear from Sheelah Woodhouse, vestibular physiotherapist and director of the dizziness + balance program on how this condition is identified and diagnosed! It's in the inner ears - but the eyes tell the story.

I've had some patients, they had all suggestive history and signs of BPPV, dizziness, but "no nystagmus". Could it be the particle is stuck ?
There was a patient healed from dizziness with Epley maneuver, and never showed nystagmus.
Please, comment.

But what doctor do you go to to get sent to such a physiotherapist? Your PCP? Your ENT? Your optometrist?

@Lifemark Health Group  Please could you kindly provide a quick guideline to use as a patient. I had suffered 5 acute vertigo episodes for the past two years and my doctor says there is no test or cure for it just to wait and see. When I have the attacks it is so debilitating, literally become disable overnight and each episode seems to last longer.
I don't know what to do anymore. My doctor just gives me anti nausea medication but no solution.

To all those who don't understand what bppv is all about, & haven't diagnosed with cervical or slip disk problem... Plz, it's a request, don't try these exercise as fun, as it looks easy but God's promise it's very tough to perform🌷
