PlatinumLED BioMax Horizontal Stand Setup & Review

Welcome to my PlatinumLED Therapy Lights horizontal stand review video. The crazy thing is, after all these years in the red light therapy space, I've never even used a stand!

In this video, I'll be using the horizontal rack stand as well as generation 1 and 2 BioMax panels, and I'll link them all up with the modular support.

Also, keep in mind I'm testing the horizontal stand, not the vertical one. Both units cost $300, by the way. The vertical "mobile rack stand" allows you to fit together 4-9 panels in total. The horizontal mobile stand allows you to use 2 panels in total, but, allows you to lay down during your sessions.

Here's what I found about the stand:

✅ The horizontal stand is mainly used in clinics or for people who have issues standing up for a long time. By laying down, it's easier and more relaxing to get a red light therapy treatment in.
✅ The vertical rack stand, on the other hand, is movable and on wheels. The height is also adjustable for the vertical stand.
✅ Both stands are compatible with the generation 1 and generation 2 BioMax products!
✅ The unboxing and setting the horizontal stand up takes about 20-30 minutes for me.
✅ You can screw in the different panels in different ways. You can also attach panels vertically if you want to, on this "horizontal" panel rack stand. The video shows you in good detail how to use the horizontal rack stand for vertical panels.
✅ Even though this information is not included in the video, this stand is also perfect if you're of older age and cannot stand upright for 10-20 minutes, or if you're bedridden. People who love more relaxation while laying down also profit tremendously from this setup.

Wrong assumption that the primary use/interest in horizontal stands would be for clinics. I want one because I like to lie down (in my home) for my red light treatment. It's very relaxing. I have no interest in standing in front of a door for 30 mins each day (15 mins front and back).

From the practical point of view, it is worth mentioning that this stand will not work with all beds. You need bed that has a gap underneath to allow long legs to go there. It is very good solution for bedbound patients or just elderly people who can't stand in front of the light for 10min. I am looking forward for your review of horizontal rack stand. I recently converted mobile TV stand to hold my lights as I found the price of original stand with shipping to UK and tax way too much for my budget. Thank you for your video.

Actually, I prefer a the horizontal stand so I can lie down and chill. I have would get board just standing in front of the lights and would stop using them. At least with this stand, it allows for flexible options.

The stand is awesome. I have it set up in the horizontal position so I am able to lay down relax. Standing for 30 minutes to an hour is difficult.

Hi! Would love to see more content on stands, mounts, alternatives, also whether a stand/mount/hanging unit from one brand can work on other brands. I'm not a huge fan of the look of big (in my opinion) clunky stands on wheels and would personally benefit from a wall mounted system, but they don't seem as common.. Part of me wonders if a heavy duty mobile TV stand would work well for the larger RLT units that brands offer.. Would they work with VESA mounts? I find that most RLT companies do not show much info in relation to their mounts/stands, perhaps so that you feel uncomfortable using another RLTs/or TV mount options? I'm speculating though. Any one else have thoughts on this topic? 😃

I wish you would have shown the set up more thoroughly. I’ve been going through the instructions and it’s not simple.

Leaning forward for 10-20 minutes a day several times a week just to promote hair growth can alone cause pains (in spite of the red light alleviating your pain). So for me, that makes sense with a small biomax 300. Total cost is still cheaper than surgery! How tall are you? Would help to get a sense of how tall the stand is relative to your height.

It would be nice to see more videos about the benefits of red light maybe some testimonials - after testing all of these lights and using them what results have you noticed?

Hi Alex, thanks for providing this video. I definitely want a "horizontal stand" - do you know if there is a generic stand that works with other brands like Joov or Vital Red Light? Those are the two contenders that I was looking at, compared to the Platinum one in this video. Or should I be looking at other contenders? I downloaded your excel - awesome - except I didn't see a row for a horizontal stand. I'd like to know which top brands offer a horizontal stand? Thanks!

Thanks Alex!
I have enjoyed your PlatinumLED content, and used your discount code.
I am interested in building my own stand, can you tell me what size those screws are?

Can I drill and tap my other brand light to work with this?

I think that an advantage to the horizontal stand over the vertical stand is accommodating clientele whose primary purpose is pain relief and they're unable stand for 10-20 minutes in one spot for treatment. They need to lay down. Much more relaxing too.

I macguyver'd a standing desk to do the same thing, for $600 less!

Hey Alex!
Following your reviews, I'm considering this stand together with the 900 + 450 combo.
How easy would it be to change the heights on this thing when the heavy panels are loaded? and what are the intervals you can play with?
They DO have a motorized version of it, but it looks even more bulky (and of course, expensive).
Thanks!

In one video you said the platinum horizontal stand only holds two not four panels, but it looks like as long as you have enough brackets, you could put a quad set up on there plenty of room. Just wondering if you identified whether that was possible or not in this one?

Quick question... I have a platform bed with a one inch clearance. If you remove the wheels what is the clearance?

Can you use the BioMax 450 with the horizontal stand?

Hi Alex I plan on ordering 2 large panels this week do you still consider the Platinum 900 to be the best overall choice? I would like to purchase the best led on the market right now hopefully I can still use you code. Is hard to get thru customer service at Platinum. Thanks for your reviews they’ve been very helpful!

Thank you for reviewing this product! I know most people wouldn’t have a problem with standing for 20 min at a time to get the treatment done but I deal with chronic illnesses that make standing up for long periods of time difficult. I think this product is just what I’m looking for so that I can stay laying in bed while still benefiting from the red light therapy! Keep up the great work, these videos are so very helpful ☺️
