It's crazy to think how few tigers remain in the wild. We cannot let this majestic animal disappear.

India is the only country where you can get almost all big cat species. Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard and now Cheetah will also be introduced.

I have traveled to many parts of the world in search of wildlife. Seeing lions and elephants in the Serengeti, the blue whale in the Pacific Ocean with its calf and last but not the least the Lord of the arctic, the polar bear remained etched in a special place in my memory. However, none of these experiences can surpass the first time you see a bengal tiger in the jungles of India - her fearless disdain for everything around her, her beauty and the folklore that goes with her! Seeing the bengal tiger remains the greatest wildlife experience of my life. Thank you for the great video!

In 1973, there were only 400 tigers left in the wild in India. Project Tiger has been a modest success which is why the tiger population has now increased to 2500+.

Recently we saw a Bengal tiger during our safari. It was huge, his name is Chota Matka from Tadoba, people say that he’s the largest tiger in the state. You could simply just stand and watch him do his things. One such thing was when he was displaying his height to other tigers by claw marking up the tree…his reach was easily 10-12 feet tall.

National Geographic few months issue covered Tiger Reserves in India (added no 53). Thnx to Government and forest ranger efforts now tiger population in India is around 4000. Also there is great awareness and pride in India about Tiger and other animals. People are aware of new Tiger cubs. They r given names and pictures r being circulated. Recently a Tiger who died naturally was given a full ceremonial funeral by rangers. All these efforts and awareness helps. Kudos to all. 🙏🏿🙏🏿👍

I've just discovered your channel and I'm really pleased with the quality of your videos. Good job, my friend. If you could make a video about the Greek lions, I would appreciate it.

The largest recorded specimens come from the Siberian population, but on average Bengals are now heavier. Probably because they are much more abundant and poaching and hunting pressure is much lower.
Although now these are considered populations rather than subspecies and now split in just two subspecies the Continental Tiger (taking the binomial name of Bengal Tiger, Panthera tigris tigris) and the Sunda island tiger (taking the binomial name of Javan tiger, Panthera tigris sondaica)
