Mothim is a gender based evolution because it and its evolutionary tree are based on Bagworms. The male bagworm becomes a fluttering moth while the female remains in her shelter throughout her lifespan, hence Wormadam exists (part of her name is literally “madam”).

1. Slither Wing (I feel pretty much the same way about all of the Volcarona forms in that they are cool)
2. Volcarona
3. Iron Moth
4. Frosmoth (A cool Ice Volcarona, though not really as iconic, which is a shame)
5. Venomoth (Pretty underrated, but I can't say that its original. It is kind of just a moth, but its shiny is very good)
6. Dustox (Decently designed and Jessie's had great development in the anime)
7. Mothim (Better than Wormadam, but that's a pretty low bar to clear for me)

My only problem with Venomoth was it wasn't really available until late into the games in red and blue and by that point you ha e other options that were just better by that point.

Why not put the fluffy moth up like at number 3 or 2 or even first but it’s my opinion for me I would put slither first and venomoth before him

I caught a shiny IM in my post game violet play through and kinda slept on it… then the teal mask came out and I figured it was the perfect time to play around with some of the paradox mons, and as someone who has always felt volcarona should have been a mythical, I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome using IM was! Now once terra is gone and it can’t type change to shrug off that 4x ground weakness they either need to give it the HA levitate or something to boost that sad defense, I don’t care if that forces it into Ubers, I just want my damn mythical fire moth!

P.s. if it were up to me I would give it the NEW HA ferromagnetic body (a play on volcarona’s flame body and the fact that it’s name is IRON moth and iron is a ferromagnetic material) which in essence activates the effect of magnet rise while electric terrain is active.

watching this with venonat being my favourite pokemon is painful (and venomoth being another one of my favourites)
