Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. This is why I love colbert over the other shows. I feel like he gets guests that maybe they wouldn't and it ends up exposing me to new things I wouldn't have otherwise heard of. I'm gonna go check out Black market now cause I was legitimately intrigued by this interview.

all the technological gains we've made in our lifetimes has only resulted in an ever increasing hoard of wealth for the people at the very top of the ladder; people who do everything in their power to burn the ladder on their way up and squeeze the people beneath them. there's more than enough capital and resources in this world to feed and clothe and shelter the homeless and yet children are starving somewhere while some people pay 3, 000 dollars for sneakers in New York City.
