It was going to be a wedding venue after it closed as a library but nothing came of it. All the lower doors and windows are now covered in metal sheets, the roof is probably still open to the elements so that it will be deemed too bad to repair and eventually end up as a pile of rubble

They just boarded it up again I’m in Canada but from Dewsbury the mural is in what was the children’s part. Used to go with Dad in the 60s what a shame it was a lovely building in its day. It has been used as a wedding venue so maybe that were all the kegs came from.
