I think the biggest flaw in this movie for me was they didn't do enough justice with father daughter bond. The most powerful scene for me was the reunion of father and daughter.

The male protagonist is somebody who thinks a real break up is a sign of weakness, a failure. That's why, he kept on doing it, almost like a job. It didn't come from his heart.

this movie is my comfort movie🫶🏻 parineeti (meeta) is so underrated and talented she just never got the roles she deserved, i mean who gets a national award for their first lead movie

i think the flashback scene of meeta running away is SO IMPORTANT because not only does it give context for when they reference it later but also it plants the seed in our heads that nikhil and meeta met first and hit it off IMMEDIATELY. (the childhood scene also adds to it that they were both outcasts in their families and were the perfect match for each other) Then Nikhil meets Karishma and is into her mainly because of her looks. the only interactions we have of them talking in this movie are her being done with his "antics" her nagging him and him trying to please her constantly. meanwhile with nikhil and meeta, even when he scolds her you can't help but love them together because the reason nikhil is being hard on her is cause he is trying to be someone he isnt. THATS what meeta clocked immediately too and hence proposed to him on the bus.

He was not toxic at all. Just because she was toxic you shouldn't club both of them as toxic. He said it always he is not the one to leave someone behind. Sure, he likes her sister but he never crossed the line. Only sane person in this movie is Siddharth.

man both Siddharth and Parineeti are such underrated actors. especially sid. i cant not say it enough how much i love this movie. the characters, the storyline, the dynamic, the trope, the SONGS!!, the comedy, the tears, the EMOTIONS!!! criminally underrated just like kapoor and sons. on god saying how much this movie means to me is not enough i need to scream it from a rooftop.

Actually.. meeta and her dad and nikhil are 3 similar kind of people here. As children both were smart while nikhil is conditioned to compromise on the name of love, doing what is totally opp to what he wanted to become and even the hickup scene, he is so unlike of himself, taking the name of the person he thinks is thinking of him and meeta reminds him that technically thats not how it works. He kinda finds himself with meeta.

Parineeti and Siddharth has one of the best onscreen chemistry.I haven’t felt this much chemistry between Sid and his own wife even.

The started of the movie show exactly how different kids and intelligence and smart they were so it was expected that they wouldn’t follow the standards. Since he had a stiff police dad his genius way was repressed by that rigidity but she wasn’t because her dad was way more open mind and even loved her spirit and intelligence and even tried to develop it, that’s way he said to her: “I admitted you are intelligent if you find a way to open the door next” not only closed from outside he promoted her intelligence

i think i've seen this movie once only and i don't recall the story until i watched this reaction but now that i did i loved parineet's character, the music and plot. it's one of the best forgotten movies
