15 Abandoned Marvel Storylines

Of the current MCU movies (34 in total but who's counting) there's been a staggering amount of consistency when it comes to following on through plot threads introduced in post credits scenes or hinted at in a story. However there's still a number of threads that haven't been picked up upon, perhaps because we haven't got there yet or simply due to lack of audience interest. Here we go through a bunch including who bought Avengers Tower, what happened to The Eternals, Dane Whitman and the Ebony Blade, Blade himself, Doctor Strange entering the Dark Dimension, Hercules from Thor: Love & Thunder, T’Challa's son T’Challa, the death of Kang and the introduction/reintroduction of Kelsey Grammer's Beast. I think that all of these storylines should all be developed and cross over and tell their own story, but exclusively in the end credit scenes of other Marvel movies.

The post credit scene from the first Dr. Strange was also abandoned. Mordo steals Panghorns powers and turned him paralysed again. It kinda feels bad that Panghorn is the reason Strange got his powers and he didn't even get any help after that.

Deadpool and Wolverine's post credit scene absolutely should have been them killing all the Kangs.

I think they’re going to do it like they used to do the Avengers movies like Age of Ultron where they were like “we sure did have a bunch of adventures fighting Hydra the past few months, but now time for a movie”

Just realised that thanks to No Way Home, Peter pretty much has little to zero motivation to make friends with his universe’s Harry Osborn knowing what a psycho his father could likely become.

Moon knight was genuinely one of the best recent marvel projects, I enjoy his character in the show more than in the comics, especially them delving deeper into his DID and Egypt itself, acting was wonderful and Scarlett Scarab was so cool

Dr Strange 3 should be "Dr Strange and the Midnight Suns" and have like moon knight, blade, black Knight, and the characters from werewolf by night

They’ll deal with these in the same was they delt with Baron Strucker, Cross Bones, Aunt May finding out Peter’s identity, and everyone thinking Petter killed that guy from roadhouse. A brief sequence at the beginning of a film that has very little to do with the rest of the plot.

The question of who bought Stark/Avengers Tower always feels to me like it was never supposed to be anything noteworthy. Nothing more than a minor background detail to provide a reason for why all of that equipment was put in transit for the Vulture to steal. It's not like the movie lingers on it and makes a big deal about the buyer of the building, so it really doesn't seem like it was ever intended to be a mystery, let alone an "abandoned storyline." People/corporations you've never heard of or care about buy buildings all the time. Moving on.

But as time has passed, so many people have latched onto it as if it's a big mystery, and crafted all of these fan theories, that I don't doubt that Marvel will retroactively make it into something important and say "Yes, we totally had that in mind aaallll along. Definitely."

It's so bizarre that they just didn't recast Kang, given the entire base concept of the character is open to variants who look different. John David Washington would have been a perfect sub in for Majors, I reckon.
