VEGAN JUNK FOOD: NACHOS, BURGERS, 'CHICKEN' SANDWICHES, & MORE!

I have been a vegan for over half a year now! Here are some of my favorite vegan junk food recipes that I make when I'm craving some of my old favorites! I hope this shows you that being vegan is easier than you thought -- and food still tastes good! Why not go vegan?! xx

1. "Pigs in a Blanket"

Ingredients: Lightlife Veggie Hot Dogs (SO GOOD!), Pillsbury Buttery Flaky Crescent Rolls, Olive Oil

Directions: Heat oven to 375 degrees, bake for 15 minutes - Serve with ketchup, mustard, or barbecue sauce!

2. "McChicken"

Ingredients: Vegan burger buns, Gardein Crispy Chik'n Patties, Shredded Lettuce

Directions: Heat oven to 400 degrees, cook Gardein on one side for 15 minutes, flip over and continue cooking for 10 more minutes, assemble, & enjoy!

3. "Vegan Burger"

Ingredients: Boca Original Vegan Veggie Burger, buns, desired veggies, optional: Earth Balance Vegan Butter

Directions: Grill Boca Burger until desired doneness, butter burger buns and place face down in oven pan at 400 degrees for 3 minutes, and assemble!

4. "Vegan Nachos"

Ingredients: Gardein meatless ground beef, Bush's Chili Beans, Tortilla Chips, Taco Seasoning, Jalapenos, Shredded Lettuce, Salsa

Nacho Cheez Sauce Ingredients: 1 cup cubed, cooked potatoes, 1/2 cup cubed, cooked carrots, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 non-dairy milk, 2 tsp lemon juice, 6 pickled jalapeno slices + 3 tbsp brine, 1 1/2 tsp arrowroot flour, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tbsp nutritional yeast, 1/2 tsp salt

Directions: Combine all nacho cheez sauce ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, heat up Gardein meatless ground beef, when done - add water and taco seasoning, heat chili beans, assemble nachos however you'd like!

5. "Vegan Sloppy Joes"

Ingredients: Gardein Meatless Ground Beef, Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce, Buns

Directions: Heat Gardein Meatless Ground Beef until done, add in Manwich Sauce, stir, assemble! Enjoy!

I LOVE the lightlife smart dogs. I was amazed how good they were. Also their other sausage products and bacon! Those things are so hard to replicate and they nailed it.

if you don't want your baking trays to be ruined you can use foil in the oven to cover the tray that way they stay looking new and clean

I tried Gardein chick'n tenders for the first time a few weeks ago and when people say they taste just like real chicken it's not an exaggeration! I'll definitely try the "chicken" patties & all of these look so good, thank you :)
