The Reality of Consciousness - A paradigm Shift in Science and Awareness - Peter Russell

Wave-particle duality, the uncertainty principle, the collapse of the wave function, and entanglement all point to awareness being an intrinsic aspect of reality. Yet we are still trying to understand them in terms of a worldview that believes the real world to be that of space, time, and matter, and relegates consciousness to some artifact of brain processes.

Yet the one thing of which we are certain is that we are aware. And it is the one thing the current worldview cannot account for. This profound anomaly will ultimately lead to the full paradigm shift to which contemporary physics is, unwittingly, pointing.

With consciousness as primary, everything remains the same and everything changes. Mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry are unchanged. What changes is our assumption as to what they are describing. They are not describing the unfolding of a physical world, but the unfolding of a universal self-aware field. We are led to the conclusion that the entire cosmos is a vast field of knowing, knowing itself, and in that knowing creating for itself the appearance of a material world. Why then don't we see it that way? Why does the material world appear devoid of consciousness?

A powerful talk on consciousness. All the fields of endeavor mankind has taken, have groups and sub groups of humans following the stream of thought. one of those subgroups is mystic / Shaman group. this group sees that stream of thought or a presentation from the consciousness VR system. Russell is this group in my opinion. And when humanity sees another layer of reality. Those people will not look back to any other group for the closest viewers of truth of the stream of consciousness unfolding before them.

Russell live on when for generations to come. A true master of observing is seldom recognized during their lifetime.

One of the thing that we should start discussing now is to come up with consciousness based model of the universe. Advaita talks about instantaneous creation. Sufism talks about Breath of God as a model for the universe. Awareness is always I ie subjective. Thus an awareness based model must mean that every sentient being creates its own subjective universe. If for eg A and B are the only 2 sentient beings in the universe, then each will create his own subjective universe. In A's universe he sees B and vice versa. Its like playing multi-player internet games in which each player has his own version of the game at his computer. Awareness is also always now. That means the universe in not continuous but appears and disappears, moment by moment which is what the Sufism model of the breath of god implies. Its like a movie which appears continuous but actually is made of frames.

If consciousness is fundamental why does everything with consciousness die eventually? Shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't see anyone creating matter with their consciousness. When someone dies the dead matter is still there but the consciousness is gone.

Some one who doesn't see that they can only describe and talk about specific human consciousness is blind to themselves still. Still making themselves small. Living the illusion as if real. Wake up from this. Where does God wake up to? To itself only :)
