4. Winter im MQ - vibey market, all food and drink, described as the "night club" of christmas markets
5. Maria-Theresien-Platz - beautiful market in between two museums, great variety of food and drink without huge crowds, lovely goulash, Austrian Dumpling raclette, and mulled white wine (marilen punch)
6. freyung altwiener - the oldest market with charitable stalls
7. am hof - in the medieval center of town, mozart played here, amazing art stalls
8. stephensplatz - did I just walk into a Hallmark movie? absolutely stunning!!!
9. karlsplatz - the BEST market! Incredible stalls, the COOLEST rides, a mini farm! absolutely perfect.
10. belvedere - the most romantic, quiet, chill spot with yummy potato kartofelpuffers and mulled wine

Hi, you mentioned chestnuts people collect. These are usually only for decoration and POISONOUS !! Maroni are a type of chestnut that are edible.
