Jack Ma is just a non-technical dude. Is this even a debate. It's like watching a priest and a scientist talk about evolution.

"The humans invented the computer, but you never saw a computer invent a human being" well, that action is called "singularity", and that's what scientists of our era are afraid of, if an AI creates another AI, that new AI will mostly be far superior to whatever we've seen so far, so superior that may end up out of our control, after all, humans are the only spices that creates their own gods.

Computers can perform sensitive surgeries with high degree of accuracy . So I tend to side with Elon when he says 'it's happening fast'

Jack Ma said that he's never seen computers that invents a human being. It's a matter of time. After AI, micro-robot, and biotech merges, a live object can be created by a non-human. Jack Ma's statement is like back then when Digital Computer's chief said that an individual didn't need a computer. It shows that Jack Ma is lack of vision.

Kasparov was beaten by a computer that could think of a billion moves a second, and you'll say that the computer is much smarter for thinking a much larger amount of moves in a shorter period of time, but the thing is, Kasparov made the computer able to think all these moves. A computer can't create anything on its own. They just execute a humans orders, or do what they're programmed to do by HUMANS. If a computer ever manages to create a human being (which will never happen) it would be because we, humans, programmed it to do so. It can't just do anything on its own.

As long as humans are still able to shut down a computer, we are safe. If a day comes when we can't or the computer refuses to shut down or deletes or eliminates its shut down button or command, we should all be so so scared.

This isn't even a conversation. It is more like two monologues...

Despite the fact that English isn't Jack's native language, i think he does a pretty good job conveying his idea here. I think what Jack is trying to get at is that (and I think his discernment between 'smart' and 'clever' is brilliant here) 'clever' is defined as the established cumulative thought/action processes derived from experience; the sort of algorithmic learning that both humans and computers are capable of. Thus 'clever' can be said is HOW we do things. 'Smart', on the other hand, is the WHY. This more philosophical question is something a computer will never be able to derive or even understand. Heck, we as people still don't understand, so how could we build/program a machine to do that for us? Lol. I mean, we have an ever evolving idea of what it means to live a good and meaningful life, but our understanding of this is constantly evolving and indeed changes as our environments change. And so, while you could program a computer to derive the fastest way to accumulate a billion dollars, we know that the strict accumulation of money is not in and of itself the only purpose in life. Perhaps someday, we will have the right questions to ask to be able to leverage computers to help us in this endeavor, but even then, there will always need to be a human being to guide technology.

The difference between humans and computers, really? Are we really at a point in history now where we're comparing ourselves to the things we create?

Jack Ma is a good example of not needing to be particularly smart to be rich.

Jack Ma sounds more like a old school guy.. technology is moving so fast that it is matter of time humans will turn into

If Jack means something like 7 billion humans are smarter than 1 computer then that’s right, computer’s are built with multiple human beings creating it up together, despite the fact that after the process of building the computer, there’s other billions of people who has accessed to safari and have put in more informations in different search engines

A great example of intellectual property theft. Jack Ma is stumbling his words trying not to express or show when he will take someones creation.
