Namaste, Kia India recently updated their sub 4-meter offering, Sonet. Sonet, now in 2024, gets various new features, including BS6 phase 2 compliant engines and ADAS. Watch the video for my detailed impressions.

20:00 is the most important part of the video. A 5 star rated car doesn’t make you death or injury proof. Gncap conducted these crash test at the nominal speed of 64 Kmph. People just don't understand the limitations of crash tests. Unko lagta hain 5 star crash test rated car ko khhaayi mein bhi gira diya toh bhi hastey hastey zinda bahaar aayenge.

Samajhdaari seat belt pehen kar thande dimaag se gaadi chalaane mein hi hai. Prevention is way way better than relying on passive safety.

Have been driving htx iMT for the past 4 months . So far so good. Had a doubt about the performance of clutchless gear transmission in the hills, but just yesterday did a trip from Itanagar to Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh and didn't face any issue other than fact that u need to press the race a little hard .. just little hard in hilly slope to keep the momentum in the same 3rd / 4th gear.

It's been 4 years now for my Venue 1.0l turbo. It's the first generation.
And gagan bhaiya is right in terms of fuel efficiency. If you push it harder it won't give you more than 10kmpl. And traffic me it goes below 8 sometimes. (talking wrt manual).
In highways. Recently did a 1600kms trip with my venue and average efficiency i got was 13.5 in total which is okay ish.
Obviously I was crushing at 100-120 kmph on highways.

Gagan, I'm an owner of 2020 Sonet and what i would have appreciated from Kia, was to provide the rear seat recline and travel adjustment (just like Hyundai Casper). If this was incorporated, Kia Sonet would have been a very good sub 4 meter vehicle

Hyundai kia know the customer needs and atleast they provide the physical buttons which are really convenient to use unlike the tata cars

1. How to Pickup DCT on traffic slopes
2. How to drive DCT in bumper to bumper traffic - D to N or Keep it in D if it is less than 20-30 secs?
3. On slopes while parking P & Handbrake both to be used?
4. Normal Parking what is required only P or even handbrake is also required?
5. While car comes at halt is the idle practise to put from D to N, apply handbrake, then R To P?
6. Advisable to use Manual gear modes in downhill & uphill?
7. While driving at certain speed 50kmph i shifted into manual mode what will happen?

Gagan your analysis is correct, because findings are from a customer's point of view.its 1.5 lL diesel with manual transmission is my favourite, i do prefer torque over the BHP .

Kia should have changed sonnet's dashboard design like seltos and reduce height of screen. These ones creates some visibility issues.
