Watched the first episode, it's probably the most faithful to the source material of any TV show or movie made in years. They basically took the game, cut out the gameplay, added some dialogue or tweaked it to make it work for a show, and that's it. From there, it comes down to the actors' performances. You can feel that it's the same character, just an actor doing it in their own way. If you liked the game you will love the show.
