Glad to see how I worked out how to do it, some years ago, was the right way! But it took me time then and it's good to see these things made clear.

Or another way: You can just hit mark delete, change the speed to 0% (on the advanced tab right of timeline) and hit mark delete where you want the picture to unfreeze and set the time to 100% - so no menus etc - much quicker but thanks for the head's up. These shortcut keys are always helpful.

I've been missing out. Should have started watching these already. Great tip. Would never discover by myself you could do it that way

Thank you -- handy tip! And I'm happy to see that it works as I would have guessed, which tells me that I am making some progress at learning lwks. Follow-up question: the place I would most likely use a freeze-frame is when I lack sufficient incoming or outgoing footage for a transition. Now I know this work-around. But it would be quite convenient if there were an option, when trying to add a transition where insufficient overlap exists, to automate adding a freeze-frame of just the length needed for eg a dissolve transition between clips. [And while I'm here asking questions, is it possible to make a keyboard shortcut to skip forward or backward 1s or 10s? I know a/s for prev/next cut and LEFT/RIGHT arrows for back/forward 1 frame.]

Thank you! Great tip. In fact you saved me from asking in the forum about it :-)

P.S. can you do a tip on how to do a deceleration from normal speed to a slow motion segment? (rather then a sudden speed jump)

Thanks of starting these tip videos.

I know you can change the speed of a clip by marking and parking and then hitting Alt+V, but is there a way to squish or stretch that clip live on the timeline, kind how they do in Davinci Resolve?

How about a shudder frame? Freeze frame->hold 200ms->advance 200ms rinse and repeat. A macro would be nice.

Hi, I am a lightworks user in Brazil, and I would like to know if you could not provide a channel with tutorials in Portuguese? because there are very few in my country

Thanks for this, speed 0% is great. But it will completely ruin the audio flow.

My actors tell stories that need to proceed or the music in your clip just needs to continue as the snow freezes at a high peak.

What is the easiest way to hold the video (or insert new video) while the audio proceeds.

(Which of your lessons discusses this? Does Ctrl F work, and where does it save frames in windows? Do I need to make a subclip?)

Good tip :)
Could you make a video to show us how to turn a picture or a text (or explain it to me here of it is very simple) ? ... it is quite basic but I can't find how to do that :'(

0:56 "We've effectively isolated this frame but it is still a single frame of footage rather than a still image" Isn't that one an the same since video is made up of single images? What is the point of setting the speed to 0?
