I can‘t blame Native American tribes for being wary about diseases brought in by outsiders.

I love this. As a native, mad respect to the daily show for covering this. We often get swept under the rug when it comes to the news.

I hunt on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe land every summer and couldn’t go this year. Just so damned happy that they are taking all these precautions and I wish them the best.

The Governor does not understand that Indian Nations are Sovereign Nations trapped w in the borders of the U.S. she has no say on what a tribe can or can't do. The tribe is exercising it's Sovereignty.

The governor should be glad the CRST has been helping keep the hospitals from overflowing with contagious COVID-19 patients. Instead, 🙄 she's just like every other entitled 'karen' out there who tosses a tantrum over the slightest inconvenience. My family and relatives still live there, and their health and safety is more important than Kristi Noems ignorance and arrogant pride. I stand with the CRST in their checkpoints decision.

This fool needs to understand that tribal land is sovereign and they have the right to govern themselves.

The Native Americans have been dealing with foreigners and their diseases since the first ship landed. This is despicable.

I see absolutely no reason why traffic through the reservation cannot be restricted by the Sioux Tribes, this is their land - just as I personally can block passage/trespassing on my own property. Leave them alone, they are not contributing to he problem, they are helping contain it.

"Freedom, not government is the answer" *

* Restrictions apply. Freedom may not be applicable if any of the follow conditions exist: your political views are non-conservative or your skin color is non-white. Government may be used to restrict freedoms if you meet any of the previously mentioned conditions.

Nicely done. As others have pointed out, our Indian Nations are just that, sovereign nations.
Custer messed with the Sioux nation and see where it got him.
Maybe our current government would like to try that again?
