The Hamas junket on October 7 was a heinous crime. Let these concerned people experience that and see them change their tone. Or not. Israel must protect itself and not rely on measures that didn’t work previously. Palestinians surely regret this retribution; I surely would. It is unavoidably unfair and cruel. But it is necessary to block such actions in the future.

I don't come close to understanding all the nuances in this conflict. To hear one of the protesters say that President Biden could just pick up the phone and end it--or something like that, seems an awfully simplistic view. Can someone tell me what that magic phone call would sound like.
