Lagging Tail isn’t necessarily bad. Pair it with a mon that has Analytic and you can guarantee always getting the boost from its ability 🤷‍♂️

One time in showdown, i had this exact scenario but instead i switch into my gliscor (that already been poisoned by its toxic orb) and so instead the grims got a toxic orb and my incineroar knock the lagging tail off

I mean just this clip here shows it can be a double edged sword. That assault vest really wrecks grimmsnarl, with him being mostly a support mon. Also any choice item destroys anything he wants to do, now that youre stuck only able to use trick until you switch out, which you basically HAVE to do the turn after switching items so its a super easy predict for the opponent. Also cant trick any bulky poison mons cuz they always hold black sludge and poison hurts. You basically only really want to trick away a life orb or leftovers, those are the best two items you could steal without negatively affecting your own pokemon. Its a neat gimmick but a VERY risky one.
