two main kinds of dialects in linguistics:
• Geographic dialects/ Regional dialect
• Social dialects
Geographic dialects are varieties associated with speakers living in a particular location, while social dialects are varieties associated with speakers belonging to a given demographic group.

Is language limited only to spoken or written aspects? If yes as per your definition, what then can one say about non-verbal communication like gestures, signs etc?
