Tired of endless nitpicking from her husband of 30 years, a grandmother from central China’s Henan province left home in September 2020 for a road trip across the country. Su Min, 57, is live-streaming her journey of self-discovery, having decided to live for herself for the first time in her life.

I like the fact that she came out of depression and started finding her own happiness by herself.

Her story is the universal story of millions of women silent in loveless and abusive marriages. She stayed for 30 years to fulfill her duties as a wife, mother and grandmother. I'm so glad she decided to take off when she's still young enough to start a new life for the sake of her health and dignity. Let the husband take care of himself in his old age, he'll learn (too late!) to appreciate having her around. I love that beautiful smile on her face. Bravo, lady!

It's never too late to discover yourself, and she has done it and probably showed many that its not necessary to confine to societies expectation of you. There could be many issues and things like these are a breath of fresh air to say we can lead a different life. From another traveller in life, hope you have an amazing life ahead...
