Napyet's SWG Legends Guide - How To Start

A quick guide to starting out in Star Wars Galaxies Legends. This tutorial should also help with other SWG emulators that take the NGE as their starting point.

I talk about the benefits of levelling to 10 on Tansarii Point Station, first principles once you arrive in Mos Eisley, and how to get started as a combat, entertainer or crafting class.

I have a tip for anyone wanting to be a trader. Start as a structures trader and once you have enough money (probably from a combat character) buy a trader level kit from the galactic market. These are backpacks that a player has filled with literally all the resources and instructions on how to get from level 1-90. It just makes the process extremely quick and simple to have all the resources you need right there as well as the instructions on what to craft for what levels.

I know this video is old but I'd like to thank you for making it. There aren't a lot of guides for just starting out in this game since everybody I've watched just assumes you've already played it

There was one guy who had a huge playlist of guides, but I couldn't even get past the first one because not only was the audio just bad and I couldn't hear him over the game, he was doing a lot of telling us how we should play the game and not how to play the game. He told us that there's only like two classes that we should pick and that us as a new player who don't even know the controls shouldn't play the tutorial for some reason. So he's just basically telling everybody they shouldn't get a free shipping gear and levels

I love what you said about AFK Entertainers. I appreciate an etiquette when it comes to that part of the game. For instance, I won't do business with an Entertainer who parks in the front entrance trying to intercept customers before they get into the cantina.

For any class in the New station, you go to. once you hit level 10 fly to the other station and fight your way to the last part where the spider looking things are and kill everything from there to the end before the boss at the end. you can farm Loot boxes and get nice items. Now if there are other people there it's not worth farming because of the slow spawn rate. you don't need a AOE attack either. I've AFK killed overnight and ended up with 8 loot boxes and loaded down in junk to sell to the vendor there. I kept a toon there for two weeks doing that and ended up getting over 100 loot boxes and 300k in credits from drops and selling everything that dropped lol Now be kind if people are questing and try not to afk kill quest npc

Wow a few weeks ago I was looking for this exact video, but it didnt quite exist yet apparently xD Glad somebody is taking the time to do this, ive been just running through the Legacy questline for the most part, good to have some more info on the more Niche classes like the Entertainer and Trader, one of the things that made this game so unique

If this game would be converted to Unreal Engine...it would be just awesome. I played the original SWG at 2004 and it was the best MMORPG i ever played ! I never forgot the first shots i made with my Blaster. That sound and then the music. Absolutely blows my mind :D

For Enterantiers at around level 50 go to Mustafar's bar and there is a quest from a lady there for doing a song and dance t gives XP and the song and dance it gives has a huge XP amount when doing them
