There should be a 50mm gap between the top of the insulation and the bottom of the loft boards to prevent condensation.

Helpful video. Would you say standing on joists is fine or would you recommend leaning on boards ?

In sweden one osb-board Cost 50€. 1 package rockwool 100mm Cost 38€.

It is a wonder that the highly qualified architect took this into consideration when (s)he did the calculations.

I didn't know that a regular wooden UK ceiling joist could support the same weight as a flooring joist... all the extra framework around the former water tank was there for a load-bearing reason.

How did you keep the insulation off the cables or do you just let them get hot?

I see the mouse trap, the mouse will be warm this Christmas...

Don’t tear the insulation squash with 2x4 then cut with knife that’s what plumes the dust into the air

insulated too close to your eaves. your loft now cant breath and will get humidity and damp in wall cavity
