Becky - re the tortillas - put them in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel. That steams them and allows them to lose back up again to use for a burrito application.

Hi Becky, I am watching you from Greece where we found our home last year after a couple of years of sailing the oceans. We are originally from Germany. I love watching your Videos. You are simply wonderful. I also bake everything on my own, mostly German Sourdough Bread and German Pretzels and German Rolls. I also grow all of our vegetables. And the only tomato sauce I make is your Marinara Sauce, luv it. Watching your Videos is like watching a friend. Thank you for being you.

As a teen, I worked in a Mexican food restaurant. We used flour tortillas that couldn't be used for burritos as cinnamon sugar strips. Just cut the tortillas as you would a pie, to make triangles. Deep fry them, and when they come out of the fryer, immediately sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on them. Cool and store in a Ziploc bag. So yummy!
I really wanted to come over and grab a cube of room temp butter to eat on those fresh tortillas! So good!

I love learning with you about using self-milled wheat. At the same time, most people do not have that option, nor a lot of expensive tools, so I also appreciate when you use ingredients and tools most folks have so the recipes are doable by lots of people. You are doing great for everyone on this homesteading and learning journey!

I love working with dough. There really isn't anything better than the aroma of dough and the end product. Homemade pasta is the best as well. Truly a labor of love and worth it.

We have a local coffee shop that makes a bagel sandwich with cream cheese, sliced tomato, bacon, a little chopped onion and a fried egg. Yummy. Thank you for sharing what you do!
