Nikon D750 | 5 Reasons to BUY & 5 Reasons NOT to BUY in 2020

In this video I look at the Nikon D750 5 reasons to buy and not to buy in 2020. The D750 has been a top seller for Nikon for many years. But why still buy it in 2020 when you have the likes of the mirrorless Nikon Z6 and Z7? I give you 5 reasons why the D750 is still such an awesome camera to buy and 5 reasons why it isn't.

Bottom Line: If you don’t have a big budget, (who has nowadays) but want a camera that takes good photos and you aren’t too fussed about video, then buy the D750 and get some nice lenses with the cash you save. If you want a camera that can confidently take both photos and video with more features, then pay a little more and grab either the Z6 or Z7 with the 24-70mm F4 Z kit lens as a bundle buy.

Fantastic production here, that intro was great! When I upgraded from a crop sensor to full frame a couple of years ago, I had debated between the D750 and D850, but unfortunately the D850 price was a little too high for me at the time. Very happy with my D750 though. The second SD card slot is a big feature for me, always a good idea to be backing up as often as possible! Great video for people looking for a new full frame!

I just invested in a D850 - My first ever DLSR - only ever had a AW100 - I had some old Nikon glass from my F3Hp - I love watching your videos - Inspired!

I'm not a Nikon shooter, but enjoy watching honest videos that have integrity, and that always comes across in your films Adrian. A well weighted argument made on both sides without the emotional baggage that usually comes when reviewing one of our own bought and paid for cameras. It's interesting that all camera manufacturers headline features on new releases seem to be videography based, stills image capture seems to have reached a peak, for now at least. Great video 😀

First class production as alway Adrian. Cameras today are essentially turning into powerful computers. With the introduction of in-camera stabilizers, eye auto focus for people AND animals and a list of other great features a person has a great variety to choose from. Including the D750.

Great stuff Adrian! I'm absolutely loving my Z6, but with the soon to be announced Z6S and Z7S I might just be finally trading in my D850 for that Z7S (the rumors are saying it will have the vertical grip and 2 card slots I've been wanting). Thanks for putting this one out there!

As a Nikon D750 owner myself (since 2016) I am very happy with the still image quality and auto-focus for stills. The lack of auto-focus for video is an issue. But manual focus for video works well enough.

Although, I must say that the Nikon D780 (which I also own) is a great update. I also own the Nikon Z6ii as well.

Thanks Adrian for a great video, I have renewed my interest in photography after a 10 year break. I sold my old gear back then and starting again. I am doing my homework and as you mentioned the price of the D750 is reasonable here in Oz. What lenses do you recommend for the D750 ? I like to shoot landscape, wildlife and macro and the budget is a consideration but I try to stay away from kit lenses. Keep up the great videos.

Thumbs up ere' Adrian, good honest points about buying a Nikon D750. So much on the market at the moment and I'm happy with my camera so I bought a new drone! DJI Mavic Air 2. As you know I don't shoot Nikon Adrian but some interesting points you raise that can be applied to most manufacturers and cameras. It always surprises me that manufacturers don't do more incentives to switch you over to there system from another, after all most of the money is in the lenses once they've pulled you in.👍

Great video and balanced review! Question: Why no comment about the Nikon D780? I currently have the D7500 and D5600 and want to move into the FF world. I was leaning hard for the D750 because of all the great reviews by the experts and because of the $$ and the fact it has a built-in flash. I don't use video that much at all, so right now, the 4K and frame rates aren't a big factor. Does it make sense to buy a new D750 that's 6 years old?? The D780 seems really over-priced compared to the Z series which really doesn't appeal to me. I'm old-school and like the feel of a DSLR. I'd appreciate your POV. Many Thanks!

Great video mate. Use my 750 as a back up as well and the commander mode is awesome. I did not realize the Z6 can fire off at 12 frames per second!
