I had to come over and check this video out. I love my UDS. Building one is way more satisfying than buying a commercially made one like a PBC. Your will enjoy it. Adding a third intake athe the bottom with out an upright pipe attached is a good idea. not only for more oxygen flow to the fire but also for cleaning purposes. when you have to hose it out that other intake will allow the water to drain. So even if you keep it closed while cooking it is still a good idea to have it.

Daddy Cooks inspired mine too.

Hey John, yes you need to add another 3/4 third ball valve on the bottom. “No pipes” that will help a whole bunch. After you do run that one wide open and you’ll be able to adjust the temps with the ball valves on the pipes. Congrats your build Brother😎

Nice UDS build John. Keep tinkering with it. You'll get it tuned in. I agree with Tom & Ric. Third valve needed. Valve only.

Very cool UDS nice that you and your grandfather worked on this together. Maybe you should name it the "Grand Daddy Smoker" . Thanks for sharing.

John sup Bruh. Those produce some great Q. I think your intake needs to be wider. Looking forward to first cook

Nice looking drum. Try running it without the intake risers, I've noticed with on mine that it's a long way for the fire to draw air in, compared to just the nipple and 90.
