A keyboard is the number one thing. I have a 9th gen iPad (one of the great computing bargains of all time IMO) and a Zagg keyboard case, which I use five or six hours a day. The Zagg has a really nice typing action, and the Bluetooth connection is solid. Add in a great no-nonsense word processor (I use IAWriter) and you have probably the greatest writing machine ever.

The combo touch is the single best keyboard accessory anyone can get. It works flawlessly, looks good, good protection… Not to mention the “function” keys the Magic Keyboard doesn’t have. The only small cons for me is the extra weight the case portion gives the iPad when detached, and having to charge through the iPads port instead of having the cable low on the desk. Also a small detail many don’t know, the combo touch also has a slightly larger trackpad than the Magic Keyboard.

Satechi makes a port replicator for iPad that has a host of ports and card reader slots but also has a slot to insert an M2 drive in it as well. Kills many birds with one stone and isn’t a bank breaker.

The only think I don't really like about the combo touch is the rubber feeling on the sides of the screen and it rubs against my writing hand when I get near the bottom or the sides of the screen when handwriting notes. Despite that, I do think it's superior to the Magic Keyboard if a keyboard is what you need.

I’m not a fan of the Logitech cases; they add more bulk than I like. I got the Apple Magic Keyboard, but somehow I caught someone selling it brand new on FB Marketplace for $150. I jumped on that ad the minute I saw it. I’ve never seen one offered at that price before or since.
