You're right that no one but you is talking about this and it's the magic key. Ever since I saw the "throw the ball" drill way back when I knew this was the key to power, but what you've added recently brings it to life. The video of you side-by-side with Tiger showing how both of you use the same plane both directions is revolutionary for most golfers who have been taught to use a shallower plane on the downswing -- which is required if the trail elbow is flared out. As I see it (please correct me if I'm wrong) the best way to keep the trail elbow where it needs to be is to avoid flaring it out on the backswing and the key to doing that is to avoid pronating the hands at the beginning of the takeaway which is easier with quiet wrists. If the trail hand is in proper position going back then the elbow naturally folds into proper position. I've heard it said that the first 12 inches is the most important part of the swing and I'm finding that to be true for me.
