AJS 250 1939 test ride 3 after minor adjustments.

This test ride was taken the day after the last two, but on the same route. Adjustments included raising the carburettor needle by 1 notch, adding an extra heat resistant spacer between the cylinder head and carburettor and adding an extra washer to the spark plug, to move it a little further away from the very high domed, high compression piston.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but it sounds a little "throatier" and less "fussy" than the earlier two test rides...more relaxed. Just out of curiosity, what modern day lubricants does that old girl like? It's not like you can still buy quarts of Castor Bean oil at the corner shop.

I sounds more British..Almost the old BSA growl with a Scottish burr.
