Thank you for the tire explanation. Kudo’s to you man. Those who get rude are saying more about themselves than they realize. Have flown RC helicopters and planes, due to FAA heavy handed restrictions that sport is no longer fun. Looking to move to RC trucks for FUN. THANK YOU!!😊

"Expensive hobby we have here". Your right about that and addictive, but very fun. That's a awesome looking X-Maxx and my truck of choice but now I really want a XRT. The way a xrt handles is so cool but with some experience you can have tons of fun with a x maxx. The coolest thing about the xrt is how Traxxas finally figured out n how to keep the body on there bigger rc with sledge and it would be awesome if they could have done that with the x maxx. The thing with the tires being on wrong really is Traxxas fault. They should have spent a little more money on a bigger box and had the tires on when the customer pulled it out of the box.Nice video guys!!

Just curious what gearing was in the xrt. I’m running a max6 esc and the optional 23/46 speed gearing on my xrt and it wheelies just as much as my xmaxx does with a max6 and 20/50 gearing. Really digging my xrt so far. Just got rid of all my Arrma 8s trucks I like it so much lol.

I lowered my xmaxx all the way with the stock adjustable coilovers and it helped a lot with handling

Both awesome trucks I have both and really like your just not hitting top speed in that area, may be full throttle but just not for a long enough distance to wind them out....your Xmaxx looks great!!!! Pay no attention to trolls the direction of the tires has nothing to do with the top speed.

So I did watch another guy who was only getting 48 mph from his xrt out of the box. Long story short, he realized it was because it has belted tires that come on it. When he swapped them out. He got well over 50 mph. Part of that was because the tire that he swapped it out for was slightly larger and not a belted tire. So, in a sense, it changes the end gear ratio. Because the tire was bigger and it balloons out, causing higher speed. So to get more speed you can change the tires out to a slightly larger tire or change the gear ratio.

Your back tires on still on opposite sides. All of your tires should point forward. Look at the lugs of the tread like an arrow or chevron... all should point forward.

if you want the speed use the other gears that come with both of the trucks.

Stop out of box is 45, something is wrong with your xmaxx or batteries need to be replaced, or you have it on training mode lol
