Marching band and especially indoor is so funny because 5 guys will reach the pinnacle of human achievement in music and then all of them will tell you they suck and need to practice more lol

I love how this new evolution of bass splits is going, but they really have to slow it down before speeding it up.

You can really hear the difference when the video is played at 0.5x speed — that’s when the rhythmic clarity (or the muddiness) really stands out.

Dialing in the subdivisions at slower tempos first would make everything feel tighter and more intentional.

That said, this direction is exciting — big props to the players pushing the art forward.

This was a lot faster than I was expecting. I tried to follow along, but it was just way too fast. I was lost almost immediately. I would never make it in advanced marching bands or drum corps like this one. The sheet music is far more complex than I am used to. I would be super lost.
