180 to 360 & 540 Progression (CAB) - Snowboard Tricks

In this video I've got some tips for progressing from cab 180's to 360's and 540's on your snowboard. Today I'm up riding in the Blackcomb terrain park and there are three small jumps which are perfect for working on these tricks. Make sure before you're confident with hitting the jump and doing grabs before attempting these spins. This is exactly what i needed to see, I recorded myself doing 180s and was trying to figure out what made them look so weird. Turns out i was starting on my dominant foot and ending switch before being comfortable with the CAB

Initiating spin too early is bad news. I put my shoulder out last week from catching my toe edge on the lip when going for a switch front 1. Day before I was doing switch front 1's, 3's and 5's but decided to go back to basics and work on just the Initiated spin too soon, caught toe edge and flew over the kicker like superman.

Hey, Kevin, i was wondering on when i should be learning 360's and 540's. I started snowboarding this year but i am a fast learner as I have been skiing for many years and am currently working on 360s on my skis. This year i was able to land my first 180's on small jumps and was wondering when it would be a good time to start learning 360's

when you say popping of the jump to spin does this mean do an ollie while on an edge? or just bringing your knees up as the jump gives you the height

I’m 5’6 and 125 pounds and ride mainly in the park and want a board that I can hit any jumps with but also hit rails and butters with these are the boards I’m looking at: Capita DOA 2019, Scott Stevens pro 2019, Salmon Huck-Knife 2019, GNU Headspace 2019, or Bataleon Evil Twin 2019, what do you guys think I should go with or should I go with a completely different board?
