Which one are you picking out of these two laptops... and why?

At 70 years of age, I've lived with a 13" M2 Air for a year and it was ok. But the 15" is so much easier on my old eyes. I've relegated my 13" to being my trip laptop and backup, in case anything happens to the 15".

If I didn't already have a 12.9" iPad pro I'd be seriously considering the macbook air. Given the size choices I'd probably go for the 15" as I like multitasking.

I tried the 15 and 13 inch side by side in the Apple store, for me the 15 inch feels too bulky and is considerably heavier than the 13 inch. I think I will get the 13 inch mainly down to portability.

I had a 15” MBP at uni and a 12” MacBook for my final year. The 12” was my favourite for all the expected portability reasons for every day use, but if I needed to seriously get some work done the bigger screen was best. I do think the 13” MBA looks better for some reason, not that it really matters!

Went with the 13". Bought it to replace a 12.9 iPad for work and I already have a 16" MBP for the office and around the house. Really digging it! For me, the perfect size for on the go!

This was THE best video I have seen about the MacBook sizes. Good job!

Iphone 13 mini in midnight,  watch ultra, and the 13in M2 air in midnight as well. Talk about portability and ease of use that’s my winning combination for 2023 and some time to come.

The problem that I had was the 13inch did not feel nice on my wrist whilst using it whilst the 15 had more space to rest my wrist..

I love my iPhone 13 mini for its slim size but I still would prefer the 15 inch MacBook Air. It is just an incredible piece of art in a way and I was fascinated by its "slimness" when I first saw it in store. So I'd rather pick the bigger one here although I am also a fan of the 14 inch MacBook Pro.

I like my 13.6 inch M2 MacBook Air. Also I upgraded to 16 gigs of ram, and 512 SSD storage, I kept the 8c GPU. Was able to walk around NYC with Air in crossbody laptop briefcase, with no strain on shoulders. I’ve had mine 4 weeks now and I love it very user friendly. I agree with one of the other posters. If you are doing intensive photo, video editing, or building webpages like I did, you need a pro desktop. I had a Dell desktop, with Windows 7 pro, and 2T hard drive. I was able to work all my product and NYC photos in Photoshop 5.5. If you are a student, or teacher lugging a laptop back and forth to school, the 13.6 Air is lightweight, more portable.

I’m literally never going to buy another laptop or desktop regardless of price or brand I’m just going to pre-order the Apple Vision Pro and watch everything on the hundred foot immersive display

I went into a store recently to have a go at typing between the 13, 14 and 16 and couldn't quite decide. I'm hoping a 15" MBP reveals itself to be the perfect size / capability mix for me...

i’ve been waiting for months to pull the trigger on a 14 inch MBP because the 13 inch MBA is just too small for me, but the MBP is of course heavier and bulkier. a 15 inch air is just perfect

They did the single nand chip for when the M3 came out so there would be more reasons to upgrade. Especially since the M1 won’t be on the roster anymore and only sold at Walmart in a vacuum.

I ended up getting the 15 inch M3 Air. The screen real estate, ram, and price did it for me.

in experience 13 inch is too small and 16 inch is too big..yes 15 inch ideal size..you go and check physically in any store

13" - just right size! I am typing this on my beloved, lightweight 13" Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano.

What kills it for me is the lack of multiple external displays

I first bought the 13” M2 Air a year ago right when it was released. With the release of the 15”, and after seeing it in store, I immediately wished I waited another year and resented apple for not releasing them at the same time. I decided to keep the 13” instead of selling it, and added a 2nd MacBook to my workflow, the 16” M1 Mb Pro. The larger screen is so much better, but now that I have both I feel like I’m getting the best of both worlds.

I’m very curious to find out how the 15” affected your ownership and usage of the 13”. Do you own all 3? If not, which do you personally prefer and use more, the 13” or 15”? And are you still using the 16”? Thanks

I just got a 13" Space Grey M2 MacBook Air with 8GB RAM/512GB SSD refurbished for $1, 099 from Apple. Replaces a 2013 13" MacBook air with 8GB RAM/512GB SSD. Loving it!
