you're missing one thing, the original Balisong from the Philippines doesn't have most of these features.

Most balisongs here in the Philippines are made with carabao horns/horse bones for thr handle and repurposed leaf springs from the blade. Most are pretty hard to use because most dont have bushings or bearings but you can wear them out and in a few weeks, they swing like softened butter.

That knife was originally used by Filipinas. My ex lives in the Philippines and knows how to use one.
