Good thing about this kind of sorting system is that you don't need a full double chest dedicated to a single item

All the super advance muti-item sorters are not practical in survival. Your's the best I've seen for practical intent on survival servers. No renaming of items and configuring thousands of filter blocks in hoppers, no complex Minecraft cart system with multi rail and power rating detectors. This is just wonderful. Thank you!

This is really important idk if this only happens to me but if you build it in the newest version and it only sorts to the last chest aka skips all chests and you are sure you got the timings and every singe block correct then its the redstone you have to right click it so it gets 4 redstone lines north east south west not the 1 redstone dot spent 1 hour trying to find this 1 reason why the it dint sort

If the items are sorting only into the first chest, and not into the rest or sorting into the rest, make sure ALL spaces in the chest are filled up
(The hopper feeding into the chest needs to check if there is available space for it, if it sees that available space it is going to enter there, it also enters if there is a similar item available in it, i think, im not a redstone genius)

For the lag situation, you can just place a furnace or a composter on top of your top hoppers

At first everything would be funneled into the bottom hopper and not the chest until I finally figured out that your clock has one of the repeaters on the fourth tick. If it’s not on the fourth tick it goes too fast and doesn’t lock the bottom hopper. It works now though thank you for the design

Such a simple and practical system, it's genius! One thing though, for some reason I couldn't get the compact version to work in 1.16.1, but the lag friendly one that uses lots of repeaters works for me. Awesome job on designing this and I'm going to get a lot of use out of it

This is perfect for me because my house is not attached to the ground and has only three blocks of height per floor. So it is basically impossible to build those complex designs without completely exposing the machine, breaking the floor or the ceiling. Thanks for the easy design!
