The PSVR2 is an absolutely amazing headset! Love it!

This is the most honest review I've seen so far. I've had people telling me that no man sky looks near perfect like on the TV...I've accepted it for what it is, even though I'm disappointed.

You should have mentioned that with PSVR2 resolution in games is being rendered differently. With built-in eye tracking game renders the highest number of pixels where you look at on the screen and renders everything else with less resolution to save up on resources. Our eyes are only super sharp right in the middle of our retinas (fovea centralis), while all other parts of our retina have progressively less and less photoreceptors to the point that our peripheral vision is colourless and so blurry we can only spot movement.

I’ve tried several VR headsets. Indeed. I’ve played PSVR2 fir the last 3 days. It’s fantastic in every way apart from the very sensitive sweet spot (1 mm and it’s blurry again) but overall it’s far from horrible. So many details in certain games it’s a dream !
Blacks are just perfect, which is something I’ve never seen before in a VR headset, and Cora a very good.
Its fast to instal and put on the head. And you’re good to go.
I just hope they will improve its software throughout its lifetime, and add some great features to watch stuff (like what we have in other brands, apartment or movie theatre, big houses and nice living rooms etc.).

I bought the PSVR2 last week and am very satisfied. However, I do think that you can clearly see what is PSVR2 and what is PCVR. Just because of how dark the picture of the PSVR2. I also don't understand why this is praised everywhere. It's usually much too dark for me, but the colors are nice to look at and the overall look is excellent. Especially the feedback about the controller and headset as well as the quality of the games are outstanding.

It’s the best experience plug and play for the price. Pcvr is a pain in the ass and you know what I mean 30 mins of settings adjustments to play 20 mins.

The PSVR2 uses eye-tracking to enable games to utilize foveated rendering, a performance optimization technique where the render resolution of the game is reduced in areas where the player is not looking, due to how our peripheral vision works it's impossible for us to detect it.
It's not an error it's a new optimization feature.
It really is now more impossible to tell the difference on a flat screen

No man's sky was not a good example for this comparison because it is for some reason the most low res game on psvr2. It looks like the psvr1 version. Maybe this is why there was a rumor for delay.

No offense but you didn't give PCVR a fair take. The HTC Vive, or the Valve Index has outside/in tracking that is unbeatable by any camera driven sensor systems. The frame loss from having to use the wireless connectivity or even the wired workaround for PC connection for the Quest 2 and Pico 4 is just staggering. Literally. Direct connect something that uses the Lighthouse tracking system to your GPU and you will be experiencing true PCVR. sub 3ms frametimes are totally possible on that 3080ti, and make more of a difference than people realize. I really wish people would stop calling Quest 2 VR "PCVR" You don't even need a PC to use it, and meta has never focused on the PC during development. You can call me a snob if you want, but if you ever get your hands on an Index you will understand why I took the time to write this. It just means you haven't tried the most immersive experience yet, and have more to look forward to. VR is awesome!

This review would’ve been valid if you compared the PS VR2 to an actual PCVR headset like the Valve Index. People who watch this video will go on and buy any PCVR headset not knowing the PS VR2 has 4K displays. the Valve Index costs a whopping $1, 000 and doesn’t even provide that. you should have mentioned that an important factor is the type of graphics card being used for PCVR. people with lower-end GPUs won’t be able to play games on the highest settings without having stutters and frame drops.

Hi all! What do you guys think of the PSVR2? I honestly think it is a good headset and I really like the Plug 'n Play Part. Especially because I don't have to fiddle with settings. I personally can spend hours tweaking settings on PCVR, so this is quite a relieve. But, as someone that plays a lot of simulators, PCVR is for me the way to go. But the PSVR2 with RE 8 and Horizon offers some great content that I enjoy!

It's the visual IN THE HEADSET that matters not the one on your monitor.

Far more informative than any gaming channel I've come across. Great video. I never sub to channels but you deserve it

It will be hard to compare the PSVR2 to just any standard PCVR because PlayStation uses eye tracking for resolution. Which means just looking at a screenshot of what it would look like on a TV will not be as clear as the user using the headset is experiencing.... With the PS VR headset to clarity comes from what you're looking at at that moment in time

As long as the games you want to play is available, there's no reason to go with anything other than the PS5 VR2 combo. To achieve similar performance on a PC will cost you at least twice as much and more likely 3 times as much. Yes, a high end 2nd gen PC setup maybe better in some area. But there's just no beating a complete, simple to setup solution at under $1100. not to mention eye tracking and an OLED display with super fast pixel response.
