I work with long term unemployed and psychologically ill people, mostly men, and the way society insists that even they are somehow 'privileged' and to blame for everything is frustrating, and in some cases part of the reason they are ill in the first place.

I just finished my company’s compulsory DEI training. I felt like saying after 8 hours that I got it now. 1) man, bad; 2) white man, evil; and 3) straight white man, really evil…the devil incarnate. Ok, can I go back to work now?

I got knocked out of a good job I wanted very early in life- I met ALL the requirements- was #1 and 2 on the 2 tests we had to do- when I did not get on- I asked head of HR- she referred to the test scores... I told her my placings on those tests- she then got up, closed the door to her office, sat back down and said "I'm going to tell you something but if it gets out I will swear on a stack of bibles that you are lying- you are simply the wrong color". As a young energetic focused white male- I literally did not know such a thing existed- I thought that whoever could do the job the best, get the best scores, etc was the pick. I never was racist- but after that happened to me I have had to reconsider many things around my ideas of racism since then... Society does not realize the longer lasting and bigger picture effects of what all this DEI and woke crap is having on society.
