I quickly review Exponential Smoothing and find optimal alpha in two ways and for three measures. I use SOLVER and Data Table to find optimal alpha to minimize MAD, MSE, and MAPE. I show a simple way to find alpha using Data Table to many decimal points.

I'm little confused on why you would use an alpha of "0.4" as opposed to something else?
